What they needed:
Independent educational research organisation, Cape UK, had over 13,000 documents, photos and videos from their creative research projects. This material spans a 5-year period, in partnership with over 400 schools, and Cape UK wanted this material in one easy to access location as a tool to inform future work.
What we did:
We developed an intuitive online archive system with advanced search functionality, turning disparate information into a valuable resource. The application provides access to historic data specific to user requirements, allows the quality of projects and documents to be rated, and new material to be uploaded to the archive.
- A reduction in re-work and time spent managing data
- Increased productivity and cost-savings
- Improved quality and consistency of information
- Potential for improvements to future projects
What they said:
"We were highly impressed how quickly Switchstance understood our data and turned a myriad of documents, photos and reports into a structured dataset to enable effective, efficient mining of our work. They understood the need to plan for the future so it would grow with us. They are great, friendly people who didn't bamboozle us with technical talk!"
